Melvin is our “Medical Kitty of the Month!” He hasn’t had the easiest life so far, but one thing’s for sure, he’s “Fearless!”
Melvin was transferred to us by the Arizona Humane Society. He was brought to them as a stray, who survived a dog attack. Melvin has neurological signs, that are probably a result of his attack. He can walk around reasonably well, but he does have a wide stance and is a little wobbly. The good news is he’s learned how to overcome adversity! This guy had a broken tooth, dental disease, and a mild ear infection on top of everything else. AHS treated everything with extractions, cleaning, and antibiotics. He even spent some time with a foster mom from AHS, who had nothing but good things to say about Melvin.
That being said, Melvin still has a ways to go. Monique, our vet tech, is hoping to improve his mobility even more with acupuncture for cats! Her personal cat has a similar neurological issue, and he is treated with acupuncture. Not only has his gait improved, but his anxiety has too! We think this could be beneficial for Melvin, along with some TLC and continued medical care.
That’s where you come in! Fearless Kitty Rescue relies on our supporters to help provide essential services, like providing care, safe housing, medical intervention, and preventative care.
Please help us raise funds for Melvin! We want to help him have a great second chance at life, and go on to be adopted!
