Zazu became Fearless as a kitten in 2014 when he was found by a Fountain Hills homeowner under a bush in their yard. He was quickly adopted and lived happily with his adopter until early this year when his adopter found that she could no longer care for him due to her health. Zazu became Fearless again in February of this year and went into foster while waiting for his medical appointments. His foster Mom said Zazu was a ‘lovely, friendly cat’ and that he likes to be petted, but does let you know when he’s had enough. When Zazu was seen for his wellness exam, a heart murmur was heard and an appointment for a cardiology evaluation was scheduled. The cardiologist heard a Grade 3 heart murmur and testing showed a heart condition, neither of which require any medication at this time; however, Zazu will require regular follow-up with the cardiologist to determine if there has been a progression of his heart condition or if medications are indicated. Zazu shows no symptoms at this time but will need an adopted family who will monitor Zazu for any symptoms and follow through with regular cardiology vet visits for his heart condition.
Adoptions are by appointment only and if you’d like to come in and meet Zazu, please complete an online adoption consultation and schedule an appointment for a ‘Meet & Greet’.
